Since 1988, the KBRH Health Foundation, formerly the Trail Regional Hospital Foundation, has raised over $14.5 million to advance healthcare in the Kootenay Boundary. The Foundation’s revenue is generated through gifts from donors, private and corporate. A 16-person volunteer Board of Directors governs the Foundation. Funding priorities include equipment, patient care and staff education.
KBRH responds to the healthcare needs of 80,000 residents and offers specialist services, core medical services and advanced diagnostic services to the residents of its 29,000 sq. km area of accountability.
The Foundation, an independent registered charitable society, will raise endowed gifts and annual funds to support healthcare equipment needs, staff education, and special initiatives to enhance the health care of Kootenay Boundary residents through the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital and other Kootenay Boundary health care facilities, including Poplar Ridge Pavilion and Columbia View Lodge.
