Colin, KBRH Operating Room Patient Care Coordinator, shows us one of the two new Retractor Sets purchased through your donations for use in the operating rooms. Orthopedic surgeons use these Retractors for Anterior Hip Replacements, a new technique introduced to KBRH Orthopedics that allows for one-day discharge. With the addition of these two new sets, two procedures can be performed in one day, improving access and flow in the department and advancing patient care in the Kootenay Boundary region.
