Golf Classic a Hole-in-One for Mental Health with an outstanding $104,000 Raised!

The KBRH Health Foundation is proud to share that the 2025 Golf Classic was a tremendous success! Held on Friday, July 18 at the Birchbank Golf Club, the event saw an enthusiastic turnout of 136 golfers, dedicated volunteers, and generous community supporters coming together in support of the Mental Health Matters Campaign.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the event raised over $104,000 including strong participation in our Fund a Need initiative, which focused on purchasing essential equipment and resources for our mental health units. Funds raised will directly support mental health care at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, helping to revitalize treatment spaces and improve the patient experience for individuals across the region.

“We are truly grateful for the incredible support from our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and the team at Birchbank,” said Lisa Pasin, Executive Director of the KBRH Health Foundation. “This event continues to grow in impact, and the support shown for the Mental Health Matters Campaign reflects just how deeply our community cares about advancing healthcare close to home.”

Special thanks go to our Signature Sponsor, Kootenay Savings Credit Union, as well as all participating sponsors and donors. Your commitment to improving care in our region is what makes events like this possible.

We also extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in our silent auction, which was open to the public for the first time. The enthusiastic response added to the event’s success and brought new energy and support to our mission.

Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families in the Kootenay Boundary. Thank you for helping us drive change for mental health.
