Join us in enhancing the quality of health care for the Kootenay Boundary region

Mark your calendars for our annual Light-Up the Hospitals! Pledge Day event on Friday, December 6 at Waneta Plaza! This cherished holiday tradition brings our community together to celebrate the season and support local healthcare.

Join us in transforming orthopedic care at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital! This year, with the Jim Pattison $250,000 matching donation, your gift will have DOUBLE THE IMPACT—helping us bring advanced medical equipment and cutting-edge procedures to our community.

Funds raised will directly support the Orthopedic Enhancement Project, purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment for our Operating Rooms. These upgrades will improve patient outcomes, reduce wait times, and introduce new surgical procedures like same-day hip and knee replacements.

  • In person: at the KBRH Health Foundation Office, weekdays between 8am and 4pm, or from 8am to 5:30pm on Pledge Day.
  • Mail: using the Light-Up Returnvelope (suspended due to postal strike)
  • Purchase a Holiday Raffle ticket for $20 and be entered to win one of two prizes!

The Orthopedic Enhancement Project is improving patient care with advanced equipment enabling one-day hip and knee replacements, total ankle replacements, and increased surgical capacity. We need your support to reach our $750,000 goal to bring better healthcare closer to home.

Columbia View Lodge Palliative Care Room Renovations

The KBRH Health Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Trail Hospice Society, is seeking your support for essential upgrades to two palliative care rooms at Columbia View Lodge. These renovations are crucial for providing a comfortable and compassionate environment for patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.

Greatest Need Fund

General donations received allow the Foundation to respond to priority needs as they arise across all departments at KBRH, Columbia View Lodge, Poplar Ridge Pavilion, and Community Health.
