The Kootenay Robusters have generously donated $1,000 to the Oncology Department at KBRH. The funds were raised through the sale of the Robusters’ annual calendar, which features scenic photography from across the Kootenays.

This most recent contribution brings the group’s total donations to KBRH and Boundary Hospital to an impressive $72,500, all in support of cancer care. Kara Hannigan, Secretary of the KBRH Health Foundation Board, accepted the donation on behalf of the Foundation from Robusters members Debbie, Pat, and Mary (left to right). The Kootenay Robusters are a local dragon boat team made up of breast cancer survivors and associate paddlers who joined to support the survivors. They have long supported local healthcare through both fundraising and advocacy. Their calendar has become well known for showcasing the natural beauty of the region and continues to be a meaningful way for the group to give back.
