TB Vets Charitable Foundation

KBRH Health Foundation is grateful to the TB Vets Charitable Foundation for their generous $50,000 donation, which helped fund a new HAMILTON-C6 Ventilator for both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED) at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.

The HAMILTON-C6 Ventilator’s advanced turbine technology represents a significant advancement in respiratory care, delivering precise and consistent ventilation for patients facing complex respiratory conditions, including severe obstructive or restrictive lung diseases and Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). This leading-edge technology helps improve oxygenation, support proper lung function, reduce complications, and enhance patient outcomes for approximately 20–30 critically ill patients each year across both the ICU and ED.

Pictured with the new equipment are Greg, Respiratory Department Professional Practice Leader; Jordan and Emily, Respiratory Therapists; and Lisa Pasin, KBRH Health Foundation Executive Director (right to left), sharing their appreciation for the meaningful impact this life-saving technology will have on patient care. A heartfelt thank you to TB Vets for their continued dedication to advancing respiratory care and making a lasting difference for patients and families throughout our region.
