Thanks to your generous donations, KBRH’s Simulation Program now has an arterial line trainer to help healthcare professionals practice arterial line insertions in a safe, hands-on environment.

Arterial lines allow care teams to closely monitor blood gases, including oxygen, carbon dioxide and pH levels, as well as blood pressure. This provides a more accurate picture of a critically ill patient’s condition and helps clinicians fine-tune treatment when needed.

Helen Clugston, Simulation Knowledge Coordinator, is pictured here with the new training equipment. This hands-on tool will help strengthen clinical skills and support ongoing education for KBRH’s healthcare teams.
