Improving comfort and care on the Surgical Floor at KBRH—one patient at a time. A new bladder scanner is now in use, allowing care teams to quickly and non-invasively assess bladder volume using ultrasound technology. This reduces the need for unnecessary catheterizations—minimizing discomfort while lowering the risk of infection and trauma. Madison, RN, and Cora Jenkin, Patient Care Coordinator (left to right), are pictured here with the new equipment, now supporting safer, more efficient care and better recovery outcomes for patients. This addition was made possible through the Rossland Health Care Auxiliary and the KB Staff Lotto program’s participating healthcare heroes. Thank you for supporting your colleagues and helping bring innovative, patient-centered care to KBRH.
