Paige and Clare, RNs in the Tier 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, show us an Optiflow (top) & Blender (bottom) purchased through your donations. Optiflow is a treatment used to provide infants with high flow air/oxygen that is heated and moistened. Optiflow improves breathing effort of infants and the non invasive support allows parents to cuddle their baby and be skin to skin to promote bonding. Blenders are used to titrate oxygen in order to provide reliable and precise measurements of room air/oxygen to infants.
