We at the Foundation don’t take for granted how even a seemingly simple piece of equipment can greatly assist patients and medical staff. Brittney and Danielle, R.N.’s in the Oncology Department, share with us how helpful these Overbed Tables are that the Foundation purchased with your donations. They explained that while patients in the Oncology Department receive their treatments, they are in use all day by patients and medical staff. Patients use them for food, drinks or personal items,while staff use them to hold teaching materials and equipment when instructing patients about things relative to their treatments. The nurses pointed out that they love the new tables because unlike the previous ones, they ‘don’t jolt’, preventing spills. We are grateful for every donation and thank you for helping improve healthcare for all residents in the Kootenay Boundary.
