Thanks to your generous donations, the KBRH NICU now has a new undercounter medical freezer!
This specialized temperature-controlled freezer is used to safely store donor breast milk for newborns in the NICU. With KBRH now approved to be part of the provincial donor milk bank, this vital addition ensures that even when a mother’s own milk isn’t available or sufficient, donor milk can be safely stored and offered — giving our tiniest patients the best possible start. Nina, RN, is pictured here with the new equipment that helps the NICU team continue providing safe, high-quality care for families.
