KBRH Health Foundation Receives $250,000 Matching Donation from Jim Pattison
Trail, BC (November 12, 2024) – The KBRH Health Foundation is thrilled to announce a significant boost to its Light-Up the Hospitals! Pledge Day campaign this holiday season. Jim Pattison has generously agreed to match donations up to $250,000, doubling the impact of your gift.
This incredible matching opportunity directly supports the Orthopedic Enhancement Project at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. Funds raised will be used to purchase advanced medical equipment for the Operating Rooms, allowing for the introduction of new surgical procedures such as total ankle replacements and hip and knee replacements with one-day discharge. This matching donation provides the opportunity to refresh the fleet of tools required by the orthopedic surgeons, upgrading to newer technology, which supports both the newly recruited and existing orthopedic surgical team. Increasing capacity to perform additional surgeries due to the increase in required equipment will be a positive outcome for both patients and the surgical team. This Project will significantly enhance the quality of care for orthopedic patients in our region.
