Thanks to a generous donation from Woodward’s Foundation, KBRH has a new bedside ultrasound machine to support obstetric care.
This specialized equipment allows physicians and care teams to perform quick assessments at a patient’s bedside in both the maternity clinic and maternity ward. It can help assess fetal well-being, monitor growth and amniotic fluid, evaluate the placenta, confirm fetal position, and identify changes in a patient’s condition throughout pregnancy and labour. Kailee Waterstreet, Clinical Operations Manager, Maternity, Pediatrics & NICU, is pictured with the new equipment.
Thank you to Woodward’s Foundation for helping provide care teams with the tools they need to support the health and well-being of mothers and babies at KBRH.
